Can't install Saint's Row IV

I've recently received Saint's Row IV Reelected and Gat outta hell on disc for my birthday but I can't install it. I out the disc in and try to launch it and am greeted with a black screen that just says 'Manage Saint's Row IV Reelected and Gat outta hell'
but the box to install it never comes up just stays black screen. I've tried restarting xbox, unplugging it, installing offline etc but nothing seems to help it just stays on the almost black screen, unsure if this is a problem with the disc or my xbox but
have recently installed other games fine. Thanks for any help in advance!

You really can't go wrong with any Saint's Row game...GTA and Saint's Row do feel related but Saint's Row is a lot more wacky to me. You can get the Saint's 1 and 2 bundle pack for $20 or less and Saint's 3 for around the same or go straight to Saint's IV
but i def suggest trying all.

 

Can't access Xbox 360 games on Xbox One after Gamertag change.

Just yesterday I changed my Gamertag from SgtSlaughtrFest to , but today I found I can't play the Xbox 360 games I got from games for gold. Both Borderlands and Saint's Row IV say I need to be signed in to save any progress. On Saint's Row
IV specifically, when I select the sign in option, it shows my old Gamertag SgtSlaughtrFest. I tried deleting Saint's Row IV and re-downloading it, but that didn't change anything, so I assume the same would be true for Borderlands.

Please try going offline to install the game to see if that helps.

 

I'm also having this problem with the disc version of SR4 & GoH. I've tried the above method, tried restoring my entire Xbox to factory settings and I'm still having this problem. I bought the game about 3 weeks ago and was able to install SR4 perfectly
then; now I can't install GoH or SR4

 

I have been having a look into this on the official forums and can't see others mentioning the same problem.

I am wondering if the shutdown of THQ servers recently - which managed saints row backend bits - and transfer to a new team at deep silver has effected something on this end - can't think what though.

At any rate i think it might be worth you having a chat with support to see if they can check things on this end :

I got in touch with Chat Support. They guided me through some steps to try and isolate the problem (none of which worked) and suggested I return the game to the store. I really don't think it's a problem with disc as I was able to install the game about
2 weeks ago perfectly fine. Not really sure what to do now.

Thanks! I've posted on both the site and the sub-reddit. From reading on there though it appears the game is glitchy and buggy anyway and the developers don't seem too eager to fix it. Such a shame, I really did enjoy the 360 version.

 

Sound like we just have to wait and see, surely more and more people will get the problem soon? Still no reply from the volition team on the saints row site though..

 

Also having the same problem here with the disc version. No install and just a black screen that says manage content.

 

Bought the disk from Gamefly. Perfect condition. Installed the DLC code from the card inside by saying use a code. (Can't find said DLC anywhere on my Xbox One.) Says I installed it. Saw it install anyway.

Put the disk in to install it and I'm stuck at the same black screen with manage saints row IV Re-Elected & Gat out of hell at the top and no option to do anything. Tried to install it offline as well. Frustrating.

 

I'm having this issue as well. I hope they fix it soon!

 

I'm having the same issue, picked the game up because it was 19.99. Just get stuck on a blank mange screen.

this is a response from VRyan (saints row dev/QA tester) from their forums:

"Interesting. I am sorry that there seems to be an issue installing the game. I am going to dig around to see what I can find out. I will keep people informed of any information I can dig up."
