    I can’t get MS flight simulator to install on my Windows11 pc. It has been stuck for 24 hours on “preparing “. Any suggestions on how to correct problem?

    Hello Elise, try canceling the game installation and restarting your PC.

    I don't know if your PC is connected via wi-fi or network cable, but if it is connected via wi-fi, switch to network cable if possible and download again.

    I am getting this same message after upgrading my CPU 13700k/motherboard/RAM, still on Windows 11. I can open other games, just not MS Flight Simulator.

    I followed the steps above and it did not resolve my issue. XBOX app wants to install it, though it shows another game in there as already installed and playable (Far Cry 5). Can you please help?

    How is your setup to install MS Flight Simulator? I mean, if you own a flight institution (or aeronautical engineering institution) with computers, you can install and license MS Flight Simulator on these computers and let the students use these computers on your education institution.

    Now if you want to license MS Flight Simulator to be used on your students home computer (which will change like every year or so), it'll be a different situation.

    I think the best option for you is to contact Microsoft about Flight Simulator by submitting a support ticket here (it's the official MS Flight Simulator Support channel):

    Unfortunately, the standard licensing terms in Spain do not allow a computer based license. Is it allowed in the US?

    I will contact fs zendesk although I don’t know whether educational licensing is handled by MS Edu. Any experience on this?
