Can't install Minecraft Windows 10 Edition after formatting the PC

I got Minecraft Windows 10 Edition through the code Mojang gives you if you already had Java Minecraft. But while ago i formatted my PC and now i have to pay it if I want to play it again (even using the account that i used to redeem it) because my code
was already used when i first got it.

So I want to know if there is a way to use my code again, getting another code or if I have to pay it (what i'm not gonna do because i should be able to play it).

Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition runs specifically on Windows 10. If you would like to play Minecraft on Xbox One, you will want to take a look at Minecraft:
Xbox One Edition. If you would like to install the Windows 10 version of Minecraft on your Windows 10 PC, sign into the account that originally redeemed the code and download through the Windows Store.

Help Minecraft doesnt work after windows 10 1.2.7 update

Minecraft for windows 10 edition (pc) will not start after i downloaded the last windows 10 update 1.2.7

i only get the mojang logo and than nothing.

It should give you the option to download it again by searching the game title or checking "My Library" under your Windows Store app. If it does not show or asks you to purchase a copy, you will need tocontact

I own minecraft "windows 10 edition" on xbox one but isn't availabile on windows 10....

There is no "Windows 10 Edition" on the Xbox One.

On the Xbox One, there was a "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" but that has been replaced with just "Minecraft".

As the others already said, "Minecraft" is not a Play Anywhere title, so owning "Minecraft" on the Xbox One, doesn't give you "Minecraft Windows 10 Edition" on the PC.

However, if you own Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you can log into your Mojang Account on PC, and can get a code for the Windows 10 Version.

Do you own the PC version of Minecraft? If not you only have the beta and wont be able to upgrade unless you purchase the regular Minecraft for windows 10. If you do own the PC version of Minecraft you should be able to upgrade to the Minecraft windows 10
edition for free. Check this website on the PC and see if it says to install or purchase.

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble installing Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. If you have purchased Minecraft: Xbox One Edition that game is not part of our

Xbox Play Anywhere games list yet. That means you would have to purchase the Windows 10 version to install it on your Windows 10 PC. Hope this helps
