Can't install Minecraft on Mac

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I had Minecraft installed since May, but I recently had to reset my computer to a backup I made where Minecraft is not on it. I am having trouble reinstalling MC/MC launcher. I try to in the Microsoft store, but the "Launch" is greyed out, and it says I need the xbox app. I'm not really a computer guy, so Any help is appreciated.

If it matters I'm running macOS Mojave on a 2012 Macbook Air.

Yeah, me too. It just won't load. And I want to get on it on my Mac BUT minecraft.net is blocked for some reason.

Had this problem recently, and couldn't figure anything out. No on else seems to be asking about it either

The launcher works fine on my gf's m1 pro, but not my newer m2 air.

But thats the problem it still DIDN'T WORK. It says installation failed after I dragged Minecraft to the applications folder. And I can't buy the game since I already own it. I need more options!

The Microsoft store is not supported on mac. If you want to install minecraft on mac go to minecraft.net and download the DMG installer. If you want bedrock edition or to install it through the microsoft store you will need to use bootcamp to install windows. The best way to get it is through the minecraft website.
