Can't install latest update

Hi all. The latest system update keeps failing. Did all the usual stuff, power cycled it etc. Doesn't download.

Tried downloading wired - fails

Tried downloading wireless - fails

Tried downloading using my phone 4g hotspot (fails but now I know it's not a network issue)

Downloaded the Offline tool - unzipping it throws 'corrupt file' warning messages all over the place.

I'm at the end of my tether. I've not been able to use the xbox for days now. Can anyone please advise?

Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

this latest update reset all my settings. just had to reboot after getting the update installed.

Installing Games

Well that's good to know. I think it is dumb that if you are connected to the internet you HAVE to download the updates to install the game.

Why can't I just install the game updates later?

same here. Since I was a day one xboxone it is out of warranty. they refuse to fix it and this only happened after the recent updates. They messed up bad and its about to get worse.

Im in the same boat but maybe worse. My XBONE downloaded the update in the background and the next time i turned on the console I got a black screen and e100 error. after countless chats and a phone call they want me to pay 115 dollars to replace the unit.
Then through some random act of god, I came home today and turned on the console and it booted like nothing happend. Of course it forced me to do the update again and again it bricked. I cant get it back again and offline doesnt work. theres definitley a poison
pill in that update

Thanks for the info guys. As you all seem to be in the preview program this should be posted to the preview forums so the developers know what's happening.

I see, Turtlejay. Thanks for the info. For future reference it would be better to create a new thread detailing your issue with all the information possible so we can better help you.

As for the E100 issue my research shows that it is a hardware failure that is causing it and the unit must be replaced. I'm afraid that there's nothing that any of us on the forums can help with that. You would need to send it in for a repair.

I wish I could have given you a better solution.

With the latest dashboard update you should have Edge browser installed on the Xbox 360. You don't install Internet explorer or Edge, they come preinstalled and they can't be uninstalled. Please look for it in the apps list.

well you gave us a pic showing your update history, but you still have not installed the latest 21h1 update, this needs to be installed, once this is installed then restart pc and head back to the windows store and check for updates, some apps will not update to the latest version untill you have the very latest windows feature update, you are not invisible but that update needs to be installed and then check windows store updates after, once that is done then further troublshooting can be done.

First of all you don't need to be online to play xbox originals, you just need the latest dashboard update installed. You can't install xbox originals from disc to a hard drive either. There is no option to do so.
