Can’t install Gears 5 on xbox via game pass subscription.

So, yea, I pretty much can’t download the game. It keeps on cancelling the download and it’ll go on another cycle after a minute aprox.

I tried to install the game on both of my xbox x & s consoles, tried to reboot them, unplug the power cord, reboot the wi-fi router - all with no success.

Also Gears 5 thumbnail won’t appear in my games library, nor it appears in downloads segment. It stays as a blank square with a sign “downloading” on it.

I tried to download the game onto my laptop and it worked fine.

Any help will be appreciated.

FIXED.

If you struggle like I did, go to “manage” page through the game’s story page, then cancel the download and resume it once more in that “manage” directory.

At least, that’s what I did to fixe that.

Sorry to hear it. I've seen others with this issue. I believe that you may have two options to try here.

1. Try installing to a different storage spot (ie. if you have an external drive install there. to internal if you you were already trying the external)

2. Try a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them and your saves are safe on the Cloud.

Can you check if you have system updates ready to install? Or are there other updates via the Windows Store that need to install?

You can also try installing Gears 5 directly from the Windows Store which will recognize your subscription.

Additionally, are you logged into the computer with the account that has the Game Pass subscription?
