Can't install Gaming Services

This fixed it for me:

None of these work, everytime I go back into MS store it still gives me the same error code, the scan saw no errors and reinstalling the store did not do anything. No windows update required either.

This error code may be caused by a corrupt Windows update file.

To correct this problem:

-Check your Windows updates: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/upd...

-You can run update troubleshooter: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win...

(Select from the links if it's for Windows 10 or 11)

-Check if your date and time are correct.

-Reset Windows Update using Command Prompt

Press Start.

Type: CMD for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.

Type the following commands to stop the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS), Windows Update service, and Cryptographic service, and press Enter on each line:

net stop bits

net stop wuauserv

net stop appidsvc

net stop cryptsvc

-Clear the Microsoft Store cache

.. Press the 'Windows + r' keys and type 'wsreset.exe' (without the quotes)

.. An command prompt window opens and then closes after approximately 10 seconds.

.. The Microsoft Store then opens automatically. Check if it works properly again.

-Reinstall Microsoft Store

.. Open Windows PowerShell as administrator. To do this, right click on the start button and click on 'Windows Shell (admin)'

.. To reinstall the Microsoft Store app, enter the following command (you can copy and paste:

Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

.. Go back to the Microsoft Store and check if it works properly again.

-You can run System File Checker, which will scan your system for missing, corrupt or damaged files and attempt to fix them1. This may repair any system errors that affect your PDF files.

Step to run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) (DISM)

Note: Respect the spaces or simply copy / paste the commands.

- Click on windows start button, type CMD

- Right click on " prompt command " and " run as admin "

- Now type this commands

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

- Press Enter.

- Then, this command and Enter.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

- Then make the following commands.

sfc /scannow

When the scan is finished, check if there are any errors detected.

Restart the computer and check if it is now fixed.

I thought I checked before but I found an optional update for windows 10 like you said. I tried installing it but it instead installed windows 11 for some reason. However, I am able to download games from the windows store so I am happy about that, thank you for your quick response.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.
