Cant install gaming services and other xbox related apps through the microsoft store

Given the issues with both Store and Updates, personally I would think the format and reinstall didn't work properly.

How did you reformat? How did you reinstall Windows? If you used the reset feature from within Windows, then it doesn't always work properly (I have seen plenty of people who have problems persist through the reset)

If it was me, I'd try a full clean WIndows reinstall from USB (preferably doing the USB from a system without issues):

Once the install is completed, go to Updates and click the Check button...restart as required and keep repeating the process till the system can't find any more. Install your graphics Driver (if it's NVIDIA, then select a custom Install and deselect the Audio driver component as it can cause issues).

Would other games downloaded from the Microsoft Store also cause a blue screen?



Based on your share, it seems to be an issue caused by a conflict between the game and Xbox gaming services.



If other games also experience this, please try reinstalling the Xbox app and related services.



Open Windows Settings -> Apps -> Apps & features -> Look for apps related to gaming services and Xbox -> Uninstall -> Open Windows Store to download Xbox -> Reinstall gaming services and other programs through Xbox.



If only this game is having issues, please let me know.

i am signed into microsoft store and the xbox app with the same account, my windows 11 and xbox app is up to date, i have used wsreset.exe on the microsoft store numerous times now, i follow each wsreset with an attempt to download gaming services either through the xbox app, or through microsoft store using the gaming services page i can access by putting the "start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN" command in powershell. none of these solutions have solved the problem, downloading from the xbox app still does nothing and the microsoft store still freezes the second i click install on the gaming services page. i cannot update gaming services because it isnt installed, i still cannot get it to install.

For clarification i am not having issues with updating gaming services, i am having issues INSTALLING gaming services. i was having other issues with gaming services before hand and the fix i followed involved uninstalling and reinstalling gaming services, the problem is that i cannot re install gaming services, NOT that i cannot update it. i do not have the app installed and i am trying to install it. reinstalling gaming services is quite literally the last step in the fix of the previous issues, but now i have a different one. (not being able to REINSTALL gaming services)

I cant even install the Xbox Beta App for PC . I check the microsoft store and it shows “Game Services” in the

updates with the error 0x80070005 and when i close out of the Xbox (Beta) Installer the Xbox Services Update in the Microsoft Store disappears meaning those two are connected. How do i fix this issue?

Hi, I am running Windows 11 currently, and the fixes i have tried are; reinstalling xbox app, clearing all the cache and temp files, tried installing with both a new install of gaming services and without it, have tried to install from the Microsoft store with and without all Xbox related apps and I have tried while other gaming apps are disabled/ closed. I think that's it.
