    Hey everyone,

    has anyone else come across an issue installing from the game disc on their Xbox One console? I just got the game. I have a gold membership. After the console starts up, and I login and connect to live, I put the disc in. It starts the install and then
    immediately pops up another message 'Installation stopped'. If I click on the game to try and force it to install, it just comes right back with installation stopped.

    Any thoughts??

    Installation Stopped!

    Similar situation. Get installation stopped message but occurs a moment after install commences. Restarts and reboots don't work. Perfect new disc. Other games work. Unhappy with my xbox.

    Xbox will not finish update on any games

    Games purchased digitally will automatically download and install the updates.

    But games you purchased retail (i.e. disc-based) will require you putting the disc in the drive in order to finish the installation of the update.

    PS4 updates both digital and disc media games regardless. I wish Xbox One would do this.

    I find it utterly annoying to have to feed disc after disc into the X1 just to finish the installation of the update.

    If it doesn't recognize the license, then you'd be unable to start it, and get the error message "Do you own this game or app?".

    Also, if you haven't bought it digitally, you wouldn't be able to download it at all, as the button to download it would be a Buy button.

    Are you downloading a digital game, or are you trying to install the game from disc? If you're installing from disc, be aware, that GTA V has gotten a LOT of HUGE updates, and will download these updates while it's installing from disc. Sometimes even stopping
    the disc and downloading the necessary update files.

    Depending on your internet connection, your installation might appear to have stopped, but since it's a several gigabyte large download will take a long time from going from one percent indicator to the next.

    Or do you actually get the status message that the "Installation stopped"?

    Well I can't even install from the disc. Put the game in about 30 minutes ago it started installing and then stops and says installation is queued. I even unplugged the internet and it still won't install from the disk.

    I keep getting an error code after it "installation stopped" that is referring to the game trying to update at the same time it is installing from a disc. Problem is, I don't have a disc it's all digital downloads so it doesn't make any sense.

    If the disc is severely scratched to the point that data cannot be read correctly from the disc by the drive itself then the disc may need to be replaced. If it's only getting to approximately 13% when attempting to install to the Hard Drive repeatedly and
    consistently then it's an issue that can't be rectified by cleaning the disc or installing.

    Are you able to play other games just fine? Have you tried installing the game again or do you still receive the same message after doing so?
