Can't install from disk

I've tried several times to install have to HD and it quits about 40%. Says ready to start but get error 0x8027025a.

Bad disk??

Just tried again to install and console locked up. Doing a hard reset.

Halo 4 - Disc 2 - Corrupt Data?

Stick disk 2 in and select play (you can't do the install from the dashboard, only when starting from disk 2). When the disk starts up it starts the install instead of the game running.

Once it's installed you just swap the disks. Load up disk 1 and when you choose Infinity you can play multiplayer.

It doesn't use any disk swap mechanic. I tried all this before I even thought to just press play on the second disk..

Can't install second disc?

Yeah I have no install option- I put in disk 1 and it allows me to install, put in disk 2 and no option. To make sure the disk was ok I played a little MP and it works fine, just can't install.

To help resolve any game installation issues, you may clear your Xbox One's storage cache and network settings. Here's how:

Clear Persistent Storage

1. Go to Settings and select All Settings.

2. Select Disc & Blu-Ray.

3. In the Blu-ray section, select Persistent Storage.

4. Select Clear persistent storage.

Clear MAC Address

1. Go to Settings and select Network.

2. Select Network settings.

3. Select Advanced settings.

4. Select Alternate MAC address.

5. Select Clear.

6. Select Restart. Try installing the game this time.

You may also refresh your Xbox Profile by removing and adding it back on the Xbox One that can help improve the performance of a game installation. For more information, click this

In addition, make sure to check the Xbox Live service status for any alerts by clicking this

@ MARV,

I've seen a few mention this. I'm wondering if it's like a previous Forza, there was an install disk, then the disk you play from ( can't remember if that could be installed or not )

Try install black ops disk if it installs100% fine the disk isn't the problem. Try borrowing a disk from a friend if it can't be installed. Then clear system cache thats all I can suggest on this problem. Hope it helps

You have to install from ready to install NOT xbox store

Also if you are talking about disk games the. No you can't install those as it is a digital only console
