Can't Install Digitally Purchased Game

I purchased Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1 & 2 yesterday from the Microsoft Store on my Xbox one and turned my Xbox off for a few hours. When I tried to start the either game in my game library, it said I didn't own that game and sent me to the Microsoft store. In the store, I pressed "Manage" and pressed install on external, but it gave me some kind of message like, "We are not receiving your data." I clicked uninstall all for both games, reset my xbox, unplugged the network cable, and tried again. I went to my purchase history on the Xbox and it said both purchases had completed. I clicked on the games in my purchase history which sent me to the Microsoft store and the only option it gave me was to buy the games again.

Unfortunately, this didn't work. The games are in my purchase history, but not in my "Owned Games" library. The Microsoft Store only gives me the option to buy the games again as well.

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

Hi,

I've got the same problem as you. I've purchased the digital copy of a game tonight and I can't install it : error 0x8000ffff.

The problem is for all my games not installed in fact.

I think it's a network problem.

I'm in the same situation. I own it digitally and can see it in my purchase history but it isn't listed as ready to install. The game was delisted which is why you can't search for it anymore.

There is a large list of people on Reddit who are having the same problem, they own the digital version, but can't install it. But rather annoyingly, there are people who swear they never bought the game, and it has appeared on their ready to install list.

This is where buying digital really has it's drawbacks and I hope MS sort this out quickly, as it is unacceptable that those who bought it, can't play it, while those others who never did, are happily playing it!
