Can't install any EA games

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

I ask that before anything else make sure your windows is fully updated, the latest version is 21H1, to check this follow the instructions below: Go to settings>system>about. If your system is not up to date, use windows update to download the latest version.

*If your computer is already fully updated, please try the recommendations below.

Solution 1:

To resolve error code 10005, try clearing the EA APP application cache, there are two ways to do this, the instructions you check in the link below.

Solution 2:

Try using the Ea Play recovery application which can be found inside the original 'EA APP' application folder

*Usually the 0xa3ea00ca error happens because you are trying to install the game through the Xbox app and not the EA APP.

With regards to this issue, can you tell us what have you tried so far such as clearing the EA app cache, redownloading EA play app, etc.?

1. To start, close the EA Desktop app.

2. Open the Windows Task Manager. You can press Ctrl, Shift & Esc simultaneously to bring it up. Now locate "EABackgroundService.exe" and close it by right-clicking the entry and selecting "End Task".

3. The next step requires you to view hidden files. If you already have hidden files set to viewable, you can skip this part.

In the Windows Search bar type "folder" and choose "File Explorer Options". Go to the View tab and look under Advanced Settings to see a checkbox to "Show hidden files, folders and drives", and select this. Be sure to Apply the change before you go to the next step.

4, Now in Windows File Explorer go to C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop. Here, delete each file/folder except for the one marked "Logs".

5. Restart the EA Desktop app and try your download/install again.

Try to install the EA Desktop App and you can install EA games from there. You need to have the EA app open to fix it. The Xbox app will open the EA app and the games will then show up as downloading.

That's the problem, I can't download the launcher in Ea play

He says that I already have it installed and when I click repair it can't and it closes the installer, when I click start it says it's not possible to find the file

Thank you for the update. Kindly try and install a free game on EA Desktop App such as Apex Legends and once it started please stop the installation then try to install any EA play games again.

But the question is if you can use the EA app or no, if you can't launch the EA app uninstall it as well as the game, then restart the Pc and install both again
