Cant install 360 game on Xbox one and it says it is comepatible

Thanks for reaching out to the Community for help on this issue.

I can understand how not being able to install any games our extensive backwards compatibility list could be pretty discouraging.

If you haven't been able to install them after the previous troubleshooting, I would suggest reviewing our

Troubleshoot playing Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One article to see if any of those steps help with the problem.

If that does not work, then I would suggest what we call a soft reset. It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting
step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games
&
apps.

Try hard resetting your console and see if that refreshes it. Hold power button in for 10 seconds and then upnplug from mains for 1 minute. Start xbox back up and see if that fixes your issue.

What games are you exactly trying to install?

Also, are you trying to install disc based games, or digital games that are already in your "Ready to Install" section?

Do you have enough free space on your console?

What is the error message?
