Can't import songs into Guitar Hero 5 from other Guitar Hero games.

I'm trying to import songs from my other Guitar Hero games into GH5. I'm able to enter the 20-character code, but when I try and download (confirm purchase) I get this error: "Sorry, there's a problem buying or downloading this info."

Is this something that could be fixed, or is it simply not possible to import songs anymore?

Also, you can import Guitar Hero 4 (World tour), 5, Metallica, Smash hits and Band hero into Warriors of Rock...

Why don't you just import them into Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock? You can import Band Hero, Smash Hits, Metallica, World Tour, and GH5... But you don't get the whole setlist from each game.

 

Hi there, I don't play this myself and it always confuses me when I try and find information on these situations, so forgive if I'm providing old information.

What previous games are you trying to import? Whenever I look this up I find articles like this one:

au.ign.com/.../guitar-hero-5-song-import-list

It appears that only certain titles were originally available to import (world tour and possibly smash hits), so are you trying to do titles other than those 2? Maybe that's why it's saying it can't download?

Also did you have a brand new copy of GH5? If it's second hand, maybe the unique code has already been used? Not sure if any if this will help, just throwing some ideas at you.

 

I'm trying to import GH: Metallica, GH: Greatest Hits, and GH: World Tour. These were all options that appeared for me to choose when I went to the import screen. My copy of GH5 is used, but my copies of the other games are original, and the unique code
for each of them was accepted by the game. The problem happens when I confirm purchase (after entering the code) to start the download. That's when the error shows up.

Interestingly, the download actually starts in active downloads despite the error. When it reaches 100% however, the Xbox tells me the file can't be downloaded.

 

Hi PsychoSpartan7, I think the reason you can't import the songs is because all dlc for Guitar hero was removed from the markeplace during March of last year. The only songs that you have access to is any you may have in your download history. here is
