    Can't hear some people while in party chat even though Xbox says open NAT


    As the subject describes, I can't talk to some people while in party chat. I have been banging my head on the whole open NAT thing for a while. I have a new linksys WRT1900. I have set my DHCP client to reserve an IP for the xbox. UPnP is enabled. I have
    a public IP address. The Xbox tells me I have an open NAT, but I still can't talk to some of my friends. I have tried using the DNZ without any luck.

    Other background information. I was part of the preview program, but since I was having problems talking with people, I left. From what I understood, once the next update was released, I would be back to normal. I did get the November update after leaving,
    and it does not seem like that fixed the issue.

    Anyone have some ideas on how to fix this issue?

    Mister Beep,

    I just recently switched to the linksys WRT1900. I have not gotten an error since, but still have issues hearing people in party and game chat. If an error does happen, I will make sure to post what it is.

    Sorry to hear about the connection issues! Can you post which error codes you are getting in Destiny? Having an error code will point us in the right direction! Can't hear some people while in party chat even though Xbox says open NAT :)

    I was having issues with my wrt1900ac pretty much until I disabled upnp. Pretty much works flawlessly now give that a shot I also have the ip reserved and dmz set up for the Xbox one. Hope this helps give it a shot let me know if it works.

    Hey there kryptonite1055!

    When you tried port forwarding, did you leave UPnP on? If so, disable UPnP and try connecting again. Be sure to post back and let us know if that helps! :)
