    Can't hear people


    Okay, so I go into a match of Plants vs. Zombies and for some reason, I can't hear anyone. I can tell that they're speaking with the on-screen icons, but I can't hear them. I've tried with the Kinect and with the headset and neither works. If I start a party
    with a friend or go into another game, I can hear them just fine with both too. So, I want to know, why am I having issues hearing other players?

    I can't hear anyone but they can hear me my nat type is open privacy setting are good not muted sound on plus I can hear game sound but not people controller is fine headset is fine (I've tried two) I don't no what to do

    People can't hear me

    I bought the Afterglow ag9 prismatic headset. I can hear people perfectly and the game sound is working too but they can't hear me at all. I pushed the nut button multiple times and searched in the settings but it doesn't work. On the right top it says that
    I am muted but I don't know why .

    Nope everyday I hear some or none never all... Can't hear people :)

    Same problem here.

    But I've met some people playing on Xbox 360, so perhaps that's the problem? Sometimes I hear people through the kinect, but when I put my headset on, nothing.

    Go through this Chat Issue thread:

    I was in the same boat as y'all til last night, when I discovered my NAT settings were running in Moderate mode. The only games where chat worked properly were Forza & Titanfall; everything else had issues of some kind. A quick run-through of the flowchart
    and I'm now in full Open mode, which is what you need for full Chat functions.

    Hope that helps. Can't hear people :)

    Hey there BugsyQuinones,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get your headset to work as intended. I can totally understand how this could be pretty frustrating. I suggest trying the steps outlined in our support page entitled

    Troubleshoot the Xbox One Chat Headset    .

    When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know how that helped.
