    Can't hear people in Party or Game chat


    They can hear me but I am unable to hear them, I can hear game audio perfectly clear though.

    I can hear game audio but can't hear people talk in Party chat they can hear me the only thing I can't hear is the party chat in game everything is fine

    Head set

    My headset only works in party chat. When I'm playing other games I can see that people are talking but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. It only works in party chat.

    My NAT is set to OPEN as are the NAT's of those I play with.

    Are you listening this through your tv/audio speakers or headphones connected to the controller? Some headphone adaptors can vary the volume between game vs voice chat. Also, it is possible to accidentally have them on 'mute' which means you can't hear
    them but they will still hear you.

    I am using headphones. I have already tested 3 different pairs of headsets and tried using the TV audio but the problem still persists.

    Try a different controller if you have an extra one

    i would try powercycling console and reseting router. if leaving party and rejoining didnt work it could be network side despite the open nate

    Yeah trust me I've tried 3 different headsets, plus 2 pair I borrowed from friends, if it happens to be all the headsets are the problem I'll buy a lottery ticket. My money is on that the problem resides on Microsoft's end.

    Well me and my group continue to have multiple party chat issues and party invite issues (can't hear people in party chat can't join etc)

    I second what the others have said here, also check your emails to see if Microsoft issued a communication ban.

    Obviously check to see if all you privacy and party settings are correct. Possibly look at https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US as it could be you have a coms ban.

    You can try to power cycle your console. If anything you may want to consider your headset.
