Can't hear others in party chat

I recently had my first suspension on 2/25/17 for Communications, which I was told by Xbox Live would only last for 24 hours, and ever since then I have been unable to hear players in Xbox Live Party chat or game chat. I can hear game audio clearly, and
when I talk to players in real life they say they can hear me. My NAT is open, and I have tried different controllers (updated) and different headsets. Logging off and back in, even removing and adding back on my account. What can I do now?

This problem is also happening to me. any help would be appreciated.

I normally use the kinect as a mic and usually hear my friends out the tv.

They can hear me but i cant hear a thing.

Microsoft please fix this bug it happens to me all the time I go into a party and I can't hear anyone and I check my profile and click on the party chat option but it doesn't work

Already tried that a long time ago. Otherwise I wouldn't be here.

 

I found this as well.

Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select Settings.

In the Settings menu, select Privacy & online safety. Under Privacy, select Custom.

Navigate to 'Communicate with voice and text' and change that to 'Block'.

Clear the system cache by holding the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds, or until the console fully powers down.

Power back on and navigate back to the Privacy menu and set Communicate with voice and text back to the desired setting.

Clear the system cache once again by holding the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.

Start a new party and see if the issue persists!

 

That is about all I was able to find. Official support does read the posts here, so if none of that helped, I am certain they will respond.

 

Ok I just tried it and I'll see if it works. As far as official support I've already talked to them and they just repeat what their directory says.

 

Yeah it didn't work out so hopefully Xbox will figure out whatever is wrong because I've done everything I've possibly can on my side short of switching my ISP or moving to a new location.

 

You likely talked with phone support? That is different then forum support. Our Official Support people on the forums will respond if my suggestions did not help.

This is where everybody was posting when they had that problem. I didn't look through the ENTIRE post as it has a lot of posts. It may have other suggestions buried in it that I did not see.

 

There was a time that I myself was having problems with chat. I was not ever suspended, but there were times I either could not hear people, or they could not hear me. What I would do, is go into settings, and when you see mic settings, just move the slider
up and down. For some strange reason that would clear things up. You should also check to be certain that you do not have things muted.

 

It sounds simple, but if you have a headset with a volume control on it, check to be certain that the volume is turned up, and the mic button is not set to mute or off. I figure you have already done this, but it has happened to me before and took awhile
to figure it out.

 

And as far as the forum post I could just Xbox telling that guy to keep power cycling his xbox. And no responses to address his problem after about 2 weeks. Same for me but thanks for trying

 

I will keep looking to see if there is anything I have missed. I do expect that since my suggestions have not worked, that this post will alert official support to the problem.
