Can't hear but can't talk

    Can't hear but can't talk


    Okay so I have had this issue since Sunday at 5 est and it was quite weird because I have two mics and both weren't working and doing the exact same thing if I wiggled the wire around a little bit I could hear audio but then it'd go away I assumed this was
    a controller short and went to the liberty of buying a second controller because I assumed the first had shorted out well it did the same on the second controller I don't understand how two mics perfectly good both stopped working at the same time I only used
    the one for awhile but the other was barely used and if it wasn't used it was roughed up a bit but neither mic works as of right now one I can't hear audio out of at all the other I can if I wiggle the mics cord do I just need a new mic and did these two short
    out maybe one before the other and I didn't notice? Or is something else wrong plz help!

    Can hear but can't talk????

    Have you checked the mic's compatibility with Xbox? Perhaps the version or company doesn't support that specific microphone...

    so I was playing destiny and I had to go talk to some people and then I come back and I was talking but they couldn't hear me I just bought this mic about a week ago and it's really disappointing that I can't use it. I've tried almost everything. It's not
    muted, I've rested my controller and xbox still won't Work. Please help??

    Hello there sorry to hear that you’re still having this Issue please follow these steps

    sorry for the inconvenience

    • Disconnect the headset or unplug the headset cable from the controller, and then reconnect it firmly to the controller
    • Check that the headset is not muted by checking the mute button on the headset controls
    • Increase the audio by going to Settings>Device & Accessories and select your controller to adjust audio settings
    • Use a different controller or headset to check for any malfunction on the hardware
    • Update your controller to get the latest software
    • Ensure you’re using the Xbox One headset with Xbox One controller only as it isn’t intended for use with other devices, plus the console doesn’t transmit game sounds or music through the headset
    • Clean your Xbox hardware by checking the headset, cord and connector for any defects. Ensure there’s no dirt/debris on the headset connector.
    • Check the controller’s batteries, if they’re low, they won’t provide power to the headset, so you need to charge it before using it.
    • Reboot your console by unplugging the power cord for 15 seconds.
