I'm getting the same problem. I think it's to do with the Party Chat App. Hopefully they sort this out soon.

    Heya!

While you're in the Xbox One Update Preview be sure to report any issues or feedback you have through the preview app. If you have more questions with issues like this particular one be sure to head on over to the
Xbox One Update Preview forum. You should both have access but if you have any troubles clicking that link let me know.

    Thanks!

  7. Same problem here. Beyond annoying!! A workaround I have found is to assign the headset to another xbox live user account that is on your xbox (through settings, devices and accessories). Then invite that account to the party. Obviously, the user you assign
it to cannot be using their account at the time. In my case, I use one of my kid's accounts. This is a tedious thing to have to do when you want to join a party, but it seems to work until this is fixed. This also works to hear other people when not in a party,
but they can't hear you. I have had a ticket open with Turtle Beach for about a month now with only 2 responses. Check your NAT settings and try it with just the other account. My NAT is always open and it's the same problem when using just my kid's account.

Xbox App "We can't find your microphone" bug. [PC]

So on the xbox app I am able to create party chats but enable to speak or hear anyone. My microphone and speakers work fine on every other app except this one. When I make a party it says "We can't find your microphone". There is no option to choose my playback
and recording device (for some reason it's not a feature in the app). Anyone know a fix?

We can't find a microphone for these people

If you use a headset with a 3.5 mm plug and 3 rings on the connector, know that there are two standards for those headset connectors called "OMTP" and "CTIA".

If you have 3 headsets with a OMTP setup, then the headset is "talking" to the ground pin of the controller, and the controller is "listening" for the microphone on the ground-pin of the headset.

You need to get a CTIA to OMTP adapter, which simply reverses these two contacts. You can get these adapters online or in most cellphone stores.

    Good afternoon Skorpio11x

Here are a couple links to the support page that can help trouble shoot the issue possibly.

Also here is a link to Xbox Support accessories section

I know that me personally I was trying to use headphones that had chat capability but I never could get it to work correctly (like the issues you are having) until I bought a Stereo headset Adaptor. If you have not purchase one of these you might try that

I hope the issue gets resolved, I know it is no fun not being able to participate in the chat.

If this is helpful please mark my reply as such and thank you!

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't work try testing with a different controller/headset.

    MidnightThudJustin,

Select your Xbox button on your controller and scroll down all the way down to the right. Select
Audio and make sure your mic is not muted here.

If that does not work try going into settings

    select network settings

    select advanced settings

    select Alt Mac address

    Clear

    Restart
