Can't get xbox repaired

So my husband and I bought our own xbox because our tv is a year or two too old to watch Hulu live and sold other stuff. We bought it Sept 29 2019 from Walmart and it just stopped working. I tried taking it back to Walmart & they said it was past the warranty
date. I was pretty mad but saw it was still under warranty through Microsoft. I sent it in and just got it back a couple of days ago with a letter stating they should not fix it. I called and they said the security sticker was missing so they won't touch it!
We've never done anything with our xbox but watch tv so we're just so confused! Has anyone else had this problem? Now I'm stuck with a just over 2 month old broken xbox. It's unbelievable!

Was the box factory sealed when you picked it up from Walmart? Does the serial number of the Xbox match the one listed on the box? Maybe someone did a swap/return with Walmart and you unwittingly purchased someone else's used console in which case you might
have a case to try and get Walmart to replace it for you even though it is beyond the normal 30 day exchange period.

Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. We recommend reaching out to the support, see if they are able to assist you.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----click on Contact us
Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next

Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Here is some information to get your console repaired. Even though they are out of warranty you can still request a repair for your consoles. It might be worth looking into buying a new Xbox 360 if you can't get a repair request approved.

Right- which is completely on Xbox... it was the update that broke it, now I can't get if fixed... And I have to pay someone to repair it due to an Xbox error?
