CANT GET XBOX LIVE TO WORK

I tried getting on to play some multiplayer games and it tells me that i need to purchase xbox live gold membership. So i try to purchase it, it tells me that i already have the gold membership and it still wont let me play. I also tried my 14 day trial
pass and its telling me that i have the gold also. Not sure what i can do to ply online again. Any suggestions???

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

i bought xbox gold from game shop yesterday and put code into xbox one and it keeps telling us there is an error try again later , which we have lots of times but still not working

 

Sorry to hear it. Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down?

If that doesn't work then delete your gamertag from the console and follow the steps above before redownloading it.

 

I have this same problem happening to me on Xbox One I tried to do as you said but It did not work.
