can't get the free gold trial

hi there,

I can't "purchase" the free xbox live gold trial, because it says I have to get some kind of permission from my elders(I am not an adult yet). I have changed the settings on the xbox to adult, so it should work,
but nevertheless I keep recieving this "error". I can't think of what I'm doing wrong here.. it'd be nice if someone could help me out.

About "Trial Gold"

My friend mentioned me,that it's possible to get free Gold Trial for new account's,and I can't find the free trial.

Is there such a thing?

If yes,then how do I get it?

 

Sorry to hear you're having issues. If you are under 18 then the service considers you a minor and you will need permission from the parental account for your gamertag to do this. Changing the settings to adult on the console does not make it think the
gamertag is an adult account so permission is still required.

thanks for your fast reply! we tried everything on the console, turning things on and off, but nothing worked.. ( my dad and I changed all sorts of things on dad's account, like the family settings, etc.) Could you please tell us how to change it?
