Can’t Get Second Player to Join on “It Takes Two” via Game Pass on LG TV

I’m running into an issue trying to play It Takes Two on my LG Smart TV using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Here’s my setup:

• I have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription

• I’m using the Xbox Game Pass app directly on my LG TV

• I’ve connected two wireless Xbox controllers to the TV via Bluetooth

• I’m trying to play local co-op with someone else on the same TV

The problem is: when I launch It Takes Two and get to the screen that says “Press A to Join” for the second player, nothing happens when I press A on the second controller. Both controllers are connected to the TV and appear to be working fine in the system settings. But in the game, only the first controller is recognized and I can’t get the second player to join.

Is local co-op with two controllers supported for It Takes Two via Xbox Cloud Gaming on Smart TVs? If so, how do I get the second controller to be recognized within the game?

I apologize, but as of the moment, local co-op is not yet supported in Cloud gaming.

You can only play online multiplayer.

don't get a lg seriously...... I got the 3d lg TV and there is lag when gaming. takes about half a second to process the picture even on game mode. I am currently trying to take my TV back which is working out a bit of a pain......I ran LG and they said
half a second lag is acceptable.....eeeerrrrr no it isn't

Simply buy a LG smart 3D TV and you can play multiplayer games on ONE tv via Gaming split screen.

Allows FULL screen viewing (per player) in multiplayer. (with multi play glasses).

There is a method for those without a HDTV.

What you will need:

Two accounts with XBOX LIVE (Gold) on both.
Two controllers
An SDTV

Steps:

-

Log into the first account with the first controller.
Start Minecraft, and load any single player game.
Turn on the second controller and sign in with the other account.
After that, the second account must go on their friends list, and join a friend's game.
A warning will appear on the screen about leaving the current session. Select OK.
Both players should now be in the online game that the second account joined.
