    Can't get past controller screen on initial start-up


    Brand new xbox one. Plugged everything in, turned it on. I synced the controller. Then I get to the screen. The controller is already synced, pushing the center button does nothing. Any solutions for this?

    Help! Can't get past first screen

    Last few times I have tried xbox I can't get past the initial green screen showing XBOX ONE. Appears as if the console is trying to start up but it never progresses past this screen. I have left it on for hours thinking it might be trying to update or
    something. Have also tried the reset process with no joy. Any advice?

    Anyone having issues with their controller staying synced to the Xbox One?

    I'm also having issues connecting my Day One controller, can't even get past start-up. This is ridiculous.

    Console won't load past initial start up screen

    Hey Sean,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. I have split your post into its own thread in order to help you out directly. Sounds like you need to reset your operating system. Ill give you the steps that will launch your console in troubleshooting mode.

    1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    3. Press and hold the BIND button (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
      EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xbox button on the console.
    4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

    From this screen, choose reset console > Reset and keep games and apps. Make sure you know your login credentials. You will need to sign into your profiles after the reset. No games or apps will need redownloading .

    I've explored the port forward option, and I'm considering a router upgrade. quick update, now the unit can't get past the initial boot screen. I can't believe that this is NAT related. It should at least make it to the home screen, Internet or not

    Yeah I can't even get the game to get past the "Start Screen". I've rebooted the XBox, Unplugged it over night, Deleted and redownloaded the Beta (numerous times) and still I can't make it past that screen...
