cant get on xbox to security info change?

it said it would not affect my ability to use xbox live

so when i log in on xbox one i get a pop up saying "Did you request a security info change?" and yes i did due to the phone numberl no longer existing so the backup phone number i had on my account no longer exists

so obviously i click "yes this was me"

then i get a page saying click next to continue using your xbox one

i click next and then it reverts back to the original page asking if i requested a security info change

has anyone any experience of this?

incredibly frustrated now
