Can't get on Xbox Live Gold due to password

Hi there!

If you have turned on
2 step authentication, the password that you use on Xbox 360 might not be working because of this.

In your web browser, try signing into the email account that you are trying to use. If you are successful, visit this page:

https://account.live.com/proofs/manage

From there, go to the 'App Passwords' section and choose 'Create a new app password'.

You will see a long code on screen. On your Xbox 360, enter your email address, and when you go to enter your password, put this long code in, instead.

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty trying to let your grandson access Xbox Live Gold for that game.

I split your post from it's original thread so that we could make sure to provide the appropriate support to this specific issue.

Now, typically, people who are in this sisutation change their password at one point to try and gain access to their account. The console however, will not update this information outright and it's suggested that you delete your account from the console
and then redownload it with the updated information.

When you get a chance (and if you haven't already) delete and redownload your grandson's account as outlined in our support page entitled

How to add or remove an Xbox profile on Xbox 360 and let us know if that helped resolve the issue.

Same here, Can't even play a demo game. Xbox Live Gold account till 2015 and last paid successfully about 20 days ago. Not due for another week.

Hi, we can log into her account from Windows Live on a PC, so we know we have the correct account and password - but I am unable to link her account to my XBox LIve Gold Family account The error message I get is: "Can't sign in with your Microsoft account.
Please try again."

You're saying you can't add gold, have you looked at this?

Also, if you were banned you wouldn't be able to use your current profile, you can't play online due to your current account status *AKA silver Status= Minimal Features*
