Cant get offer on the dashboard

when I log onto my xbox account there is an promotion on the home screen that reads "Exclusive offer just for you, one month free of Xbox Live Gold"

I click on the box to get the free month and a window TRYS to load for me to confirm the purchase, but it doesn't and then proceeds to open a new window saying I need to go on xbox live support.... So I did and I can't seem to get the promotion to work.

Also spent hours on the phone with a customer sales rep and they were not able to help.

still neither of my cards work.

"this code cannot be used for this offer".

I am entering them when trying to download a track from RB2 as I cant see how to add the damn things on the horrible new dashboard

 

I want the 40% off gold deal but its not showing up on my dashboard like it is my husbands

My husband has a promotion for 40% off gold for 2017 on his dashboard but I cant get the same deal on my account. My gold runs out Sunday and I want to get the same 40% off deal for a 12 month membership. Thanks
