Can’t get my son gold on his Xbox?

Ok so I have a one X which is my home console which i use for myself and my son uses for larger games. He has an original one which we are trying to set up for him and his sister to use for roblox, minecraft, fortnite etc. The kiddy stuff basically. But
it wont let them play online without gold being shared on that xbox and it wont let me buy my son gomd for himself. I have a family group for me and my two kids. I dont really want my account on the other xbox because i wont use it though i can put my account
on if needed but i dont want that as my home xbox sharing my gold on there because im sharing it on my X i want my son to have his own gold which i dont mind paying for but it just says “whoops youre not quite old enough for this” and wont even do the ask
a parent for permission thing. So im very confused. How can i fix this please?

It must be for the configuration of your family group, personally I recommend that you place your account on your child's xbox and configure it as the main xbox and so they will have no problem playing online and you can continue using gold on your xbox
one x without any problem even if your account is not the main one in your xbox

If you don't want you're account on that specific device and if you're children can't have access to purchase goods on the built in Windows Store then in my opinion your best possible solution would be to create a new account on your console and make it
18+, lock it down with a remembering passcode and add gold to that account, then just make that specific account your home xbox account.

This Would Involve:

Making a new email

Adding a new account

Applying Xbox Live Gold

Setting as home Xbox account

If you are unsure on how to create a new xbox account or you have possibly forgotten follow these steps:

On you're console go to the icon of a signed in account or a person

Go to add new/guest

Click add new

Enter email new and create a password

Choose if you'd like to add barriers to that account

How to attach your new account as the main home xbox account read these steps:

Settings > General > Personalisation > My Home Xbox
