Can't get my game disc to play, HELP!

I've had the disc version of the game, and my profile did the same thing, but now I purchased the game from Games On-Demand because my disc was ruined (siblings...) and now it does the same thing for the Games On-Demand version of the game. I don't even
have a gamesave on my current HDD because I've already finished the game but I want to play some online multiplayer. So yes, I've attempted to play fresh but I can't even get past the "press start to play screen". I can play other games fine and I can't play
my Gears of War 2 on other consoles downloaded or disc and I can play with other profiles.

Off the top of my head the first thing that comes to mind is that there could be something wrong with the disc reader or, some of the discs themselves. Try cleaning some of the discs with a soft cloth and trying to get them to play in the Xbox One. If they're
on the backwards compatibility list and are on disc I can't fathom any issue other than some games not installing properly because the disc could be damaged. A damaged game disc could negatively effect the console's ability to read it, download, and give you
access to the disc.

Greetings, demonizer andy. As a first step I'd recommend going through this troubleshooter to see if it can't help you get this resolved "Xbox Disc Drive Solution".
In addition, are the games you are trying to play installed to your hard drive or are you attempting to play them directly from the disc itself?
