    Hi,

    Hopefully I'm posting this in the right section. Apologies if not.

    Well I just bought an Xbox one S and also a 4K TV. But when I go to the settings on the xbox it says my TV doesn't support HDR10 . But on the tv's specs on the LG website it says HDR Pro which is supposed to be HDR10 I thought.

    The TV in question is the LG 55UH650V.

    I've tried many things and settings and restarts etc but no luck. It's a bit frustrating not being able to use HDR which was one of the reasons I upgraded to the xbox one S for.

    Any help or suggestions would be a great help. Thanks.

    Hey there!

    You are correct that HDR Pro is LG's fancy branding for HDR10. Sometimes there are things you need to set up on the TV's side first before you are able to view HDR content. First, check through your TV's settings to make sure HDR is turned on for the specific
    HDMI port you are using with your Xbox One, and that you are using the HDMI cable that came bundled in with your Xbox One S console. You may need to consult with the owner's manual to find those specific settings. Additionally, please ensure that your TV is
    running the latest firmware for that model.

    On the Xbox One S side, have you ensured that 'Allow HDR' is checked on? In order to view HDR content, 'Allow HDR' needs to be selected. To find those settings, navigate to 'All settings' from the Xbox One guide, scroll down to 'Display & sounds' within
    the settings screen and select 'Video output', and then finally select 'Advanced video settings' where you can select 'Allow HDR' and 'Allow 4K'.

    If everything on the Xbox One S side is set up appropriately, you may need to ensure that your TV is running the latest firmware, and that the necessary settings are applied to the HDMI port you're outputting to. As mentioned earlier, you may need to consult
    your owners manual or LG support to make sure things are appropriately set up.

    3d blu ray problems

    After a LOT of troubleshooting, I've managed to find a temporary fix.

    This works EVERYTIME on my LG 55UH8500 3d tv and Xbox one S:

    Turn off 4k and hdr in settings, set display to 1080p - and all 3d blu ray discs play as expected.

    I have a LG 55UH6030 4k tv and like everyone here I have the correct settings (Tv and Xbox One S) but when playing HDR content the image looks dull and the colors looks worse! we need a solution for this ASAP!

    Is this TV good for my new xbox one S?

    No HDR support on that TV which is actually the more important feature, not all 4K TV's support HDR but you will only find HDR on 4K TV's (so far).

    Look around on that site for something in your price range with HDR, thats the main visual improvement of the Xbox One S, if you have no interest then just spend your money on a good quality 1080p set.

    Also avoid anything from Samsung that is generation 6xxx, only generation 8 and 9 sets fully support HDR. Samsung advertise generation 6 support it but it doesn't really do anything as the internal hardware is not fully HDR compliant.

    One of the cheapest I can see on the site you link to is this LG for $639, proper HDR 4K TV's do not come cheap.

    Can't help you there, but my scorpio doesn't even detect HDR on my LG EG9600 (2015 model; has HDR on netflix streaming perfectly; I selected Deep Color in settings). Still get 4K, but can't even get HDR to work. And my LG TV is the OLED mode if that has
    anything to do with anything.
