Can't get gears of war 5 online campaign to work via game pass on a iPad

Im playing via cloud and he is playing via console. He owns the physical game as well. But we had issues on both ends with the time out while using his physical copy and then I asked him to use the game pass gears 5 game like I was using, and he did. We still have the same issue. I just don't understand how we can play horde and hive modes with multiple people but we can't play campaign. And I got the best wifi out there. Never had any issues with previous gears titles or other games in game pass. Gears of war 5 is the only game giving us this issue.

Additional information is needed, please tell me:

Both are trying to play together via cloud gaming?
Or your friend is playing on console?
Did you tried using a different Wi-Fi network or device to see if that makes a difference?

Do you not have access to a console?
If not, are you able to test this with a different friend?

Could be a bug with the cloud gaming version if this is happening only with gears 5

In the meantime, can be a bit odd but try using a custom DNS on your iPad

Try first with 1.1.1.1, if the issue persist try with 8.8.8.8

I’m using Xbox Games Pass Ultimate and playing via browser and Mac/ iPad Pro.

Gears of War 5 is nowhere to be found anymore.

I love Gears Of War 4 so i can't wait for Gears 5 to be released, i love the Campaign mode, but looking forward to seeing the Escape mode.
