Can't get Game Chat to work in Minecraft

    Can't get Game Chat to work in Minecraft


    my son wants to talk to 2 other friends at the same time in minecraft. They are all friends with each other on Xbox live and are all in the same game. He can private chat with each of them individually, but when we follow the instructions to set up game
    chat nothing happens. None of them are able to chat. They are all in the same party and it says everyone in your party is in the game. We have selected game chat channel - not sure what else to do?

    "Connection to the server was lost" can't join or invite others. Every time.

    I get the same message too for Minecraft. Can't join theirs and they can't join mine. I successfully joined a chat party once. Every other xbox game I play online multiplayer works fine though. I don't get it. Its really frustrating!

    Can't play a online game or join a party for 3 mins I just get disconnected .

    i tried to play online for the first time in a while tonight. my niece has been waiting all week to play minecraft online with me. so now its friday night and we can't connect Can't get Game Chat to work in Minecraft :(

    game invites won't work but party chat does.

    Tried all these and nothing's changed. My son can chat privately no problems with all his friends. We can't seem to get them all chatting together.

    Why is my Minecraft chat not working?

    To fix the 'Can't chat in Minecraft” error, go to Options > Chat settings and change the settings from Command Only to Shown. This will let you talk and share your thoughts
    with all the other creative Minecraft players. If chat is still unavailable, disconnect from the game and then enable the connection again. Also a way to fix is hard resetting your game by quitting out of the game launching
    another and then quit that, turn off Xbox, and unplug it. Let it set for 10 then try again.

    Iv done the steps you said to take an it still does it on mw2 my mic is not working in game chat on dmz iv tryed everything nothing will work it works in party chat but not game chat it works fine on vandgard just mw2 I can't get mic to work it's getting really annoying

    i've been getting isuses with minecraft windows 10 edition. Even though the settings for the chat are enabled in xbox privacy settings i can't chat with other players.

    In the newest update to bedrock these options are no longer there. As the UI has changed for Minecraft bedrock edition.
