Can't get Forza 5 to complete install from marketplace

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post but I'm needing help with my new Xbox one. I bought Forza 5 from the marketplace last night and let it install for a couple hours. I came back to check on it and it was at 22% and let me play the beginning of
Forza but nothing else. So I went back to sleep and checked on it again another 6 hours later and it hadn't installed any farther past 22%. So I've disconnected wireless connection, turned my Xbox off by holding down the power button, unplugged it, cancelled
install then reinstalled, and it still wont complete. After all that, now it won't even tell me what percentage it's at, it just says installing then every now and then will say queued, then back to installing. And it won't let me play the beginning of the
game like I could last night. How can I make this complete installation?

I think my install of Forza 5 should be complete when the next generation of consoles comes out in 2020.

Nothing can be done due to Forza 5 being removed from the marketplace.

 

Delete the game and re-install it.

I had that issue several times and that was the only way I could fix it. I was getting the message the game needed to be updated but it wouldn't update or load.

You may want to let the game completely install before playing it too.

 

I've tried that too and it will say this may take awhile. And then it will show my storage reduce from 343Gb to 303Gb which is how big it says Forza is but it won't show any progress after an hour. Just continues to say installing. Not even 1%

 

I had an issue with that last night different game though. I restarted my system and went into the que to restart the download and bam! It was done.

 

Are you completely deleting what's already been installed or simply pausing the install and restarting it?

If something has been corrupted during the install it'll all need to be removed and the download started again from the start.

 

Yes I am. I go to queue, highlight Forza, hit the start button, go to manage game, click on Internal Manage all (40.3Gb), then click Uninstall all. Then it says You're about to uninstall Forza Motorsport 5 you can reinstall anytime etc. then I click uninstall.
Then back at queue it says installation stopped and eventually disappears. Then my storage go's back up to 343Gb. Next I can go back up the games and it says ready to install with Forza beneath so I click that then it says this could take awhile to install.
We'll let you know when it's ready to use. So I click install to begin the process again but it never advances. Just continues to say installing with no progress or percentage

 

You've done everything right so I'm not sure what else we can tell you. It almost sounds as if there is an issue with it connecting to MS to download it. How long have you waited without seeing the percentage move?

Depending on your connection speed it could take several minutes to significantly longer to even see it hit 1 percent. If you're not seeing any movement for hours then there is big problem.

Can you download other things? Apps, etc?

 

Did you try resetting your router and modem? It's a long shot for this but could be an issue non the less.

 

Well I didn't think about apps but since you mention it I just went ahead and clicked on YouTube to install and now it's at 2% so I would say it's installing well. Maybe it will just take a long time because of how large Forza is. If I put the Xbox in sleep
mode, will it still download? Or do I need to keep the console on to continue installing

 

It will download in stand-by mode (sleep mode).

My best advice....delete everything again, start download before you go to bed. That way it'll be a clean install without the console doing anything else.

 

The problem may not be on your end apparently Forza is having some issues.

Official forums have people having the same issue as you and my game just got stuck in a loading screen on Nurburgring, now Forza won't load at all. Someone else in the forums just had the exact same issue loading the same track.

 

Dang that sucks. I wish I had just gotten the disc now. I don't even play online lol

 

Even the disk wouldn't make a difference unless your One is offline. Forza connects to the servers for leaderboards, etc and that's what is causing my current load screen issues.
