Can't get back to original gamertag or account.

That would be the email that you used when you signed up for your original gamertag. Without it, you can't get the account back.

i can't re download the account because someone changed the email to it but the gamertag is the same, it's just my gamertag except without the zero at the end. if there is anyway to get it back please let me know. this happened a year ago and i still remember
the original email and password used the old account.

Gamertags can't be deleted. You could change your current gamertag to something else, then have another MS account and change it to the original gamertag. However, you would still be faced with paying the gamertag change fee for the original account which
is what I believe you are wanting to avoid.

To recover your original gamertag you need to go to "DOWNLOAD PROFILE" and enter in the email & password for that account. If you don't remember the password and need to reset it go to account.live.com and select "Can't access my account" but then you'll
get your gamertag back, avatar, DLC (Licenses to get those games back), friends list, everything. If you can it's best to keep the same one. Changing the email associated to your gamertag can be done but it has to be done on the console and 30 days after downloading
a profile (for security purposes). So sign out of whatever profile you are in if you are, then select the Guide button, go down from Sign in, Create Profile, to Download Profile. Then it'll prompt you for the email associated & password. You can't do this
for "Create profile" because technically those credentials are tied to the original.
