Can't get an IP address on Xbox 1

Keep getting error message saying Can't get an IP address.? I can connect fine through my computer. My internet ascess is weird. My whole apt building uses one connection and we have ethernet wires through the wall in each room. So I have no use to get to
a router. I have not had any issues with since I have lived here over a year now, just suddenly won't work. I have tried dozens of options, spent 2+ hours figuring things out. No luck. Anyone have suggestions?

I've been running into an almost identical issue for the past week. Hope we can get some answers/fixes.

Can't get teredo IP address

For the past few months my chat on Xbox has been bugging out and not connecting to parties, and its because my Xbox one can't pick up the teredo IP address. I have tried everything within reason which includes factory resetting my Xbox and nothing worked
what do I do?

Something that seems to help a lot with networking issues is to clear the alternate mac address. SETTINGS>ALL SETTINGS>NETWORK>NETWORK SETTINGS>ADVANCED SETTINGS>ALTERNATE MAC ADDRESS>CLEAR ALTERNATE MAC ADDRESS>RESTART

Tried that.....Xbox can't connect to internet after manually changing the IP. Error reading "Cannot Get an IP Address"

Hi. How could I could be related to:

1) that I can't also login into Xbox app on iOS, Windows 10 and Android regardless of the IP address until its Ukrainian IP address? I tried different IP addresses.

2) Why are all of the users in Ukraine affected?

So, my guess it is not anyone's personal IP, it is bad engineering on Microsoft part.

That one I actually can't answer. Your friends may have set ups regarding their profiles and consoles that make it work like that. The IP address error is simply one of the things that is shown when the Xbox can't get an IP address. This is common when connecting
through computers and phones, and can't really be helped since there's no way to log into those and give the Xbox an IP address. You are kind of running into 2 separate problems in this case...

One being your location, the other being that the Xbox just
doesn't seem to get an IP address from the ways you currently hook up anymore.
