    Can't get a Teredo IP Address and also STRICT NAT


    What Country/State/Province do you live in? United Kingdom, England

    Modem brand & model number: BT Openreach

    Router brand & model number: BT HomeHub

    Wired or wireless: Tried Both

    Things you have tried: UpnP (On and Off), Checked firmware, pretty much everything

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? Strict on the Xbox ONE (360 = Open)

    Any Error Codes you encounter: Teredo Ip address crap

    Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): BT

    Unable to connect to party chat at all on Xbox One. NAT type always strict and "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error testing multiplayer connection.

    Yes, NAT type shows strict and testing the multiplayer connection yields this error: 'Can't get a Teredo IP address'

    i cant play online

    i have ipv4 and my nat type is strict when i do the multiplayer connection test it says cant get a teredo ip address please anyone help me solve this problem

    Hey BondieZXP

    Sometimes a Teredo IP Address error can occur when the ports necessary for connecting are not being assigned. To the sounds of it, your router can only support one Xbox with an open NAT type.

    I would assign the Xbox One with a reserved/static IP address and then place that IP address into the DMZ mode of the router and or port forward the following ports list

    Just had a similar issue start when it had been fine. I have two XBOnes one has portforwarding enabled and the other was in the DMZ on the BT Home Hub 5. All was well and both had Open NAT then one day it all went wrong for the DMZ XB1. I tried resetting
    the UPnP and other tricks but nothing worked, i have now turned off the DMZ and the XB1 that had the issue now appears open, with no port forwarding at all, may be worth a try for others.

    Connection test works. It's connected fine. Then I go to multiplayer test and get an error "Can't get Teredo IP address"

    Details as to my config.

    Cable goes to Arris modem.

    Arris modem is set to bridge mode.

    Arris modem connected via ethernet to Apple airport extreme, which acts as wifi router for my house.

    airport extreme ALSO has an ethernet cable connected directly to the xbox one.

    But I'm still getting strict nat.

    Plus the "can't get teredo IP" error.

    "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error despite multiplayer working fine until now

    I get the same problem. My NAT type is Strict. I get the message "can't get a teredo ip address". the steps I tried were UPnP refresh, contacting my ISP and reseting my router and modem. my ISP is COX communications, and I have a linksys WRT120n router.
    i dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
