    Can't fix my Strict NAT. I have opened the ports.


    If anyone is able to help me get an Open NAT that would be greatly appreciated.

    Here is information about my network. Telus is the ISP. the modem/router combo is an Actiontec V1000H that has an Apple Airport Extreme connected to it (via ethernet cable) in bridged mode to extend the network. the Xbox One is connected to the Airport Extreme
    (via ethernet cable).

    on the Actiontec V1000H i have opened all the required ports. (i used portforward.com and followed the guide step by step). The NAT type is still strict.

    The detailed network statistics page on the xbox one tells me that "Your network is behind a port-preserving port-symmetric NAT"

    i don't know what else i can do to fix this. i really need help. ive read on the forums that having another console (ie. a 360) on the network can cause issues.. and i do have an old 360 connected wirelessly to the actiontec router.

    any help is greatly appreciated.

    Also Call Of Duty requires another port to be opened, port 3075 (UDP). If you have an open NAT but moderate/strict in COD, opening this port should fix it.

    STRICT NAT TYPE

    Xbox One Nat type issues. me and my housemate, both have strict nat types on Advanced warfare. i have opened up the required ports but is still showing strict for both of us.we have a wireless connection.

    Hello thank you for contacting Xbox support, This seems like it happens alot with NAT type, Have you cleared your modem cache and you're Xbox one as a build up of data will make this happen if this does not help feel free to PM me or just reply!.

    The modem /router combo is a "gateway".......never could get mine (or any of my friends) to work very well , mess with the settings and it would open for a while then revert.....got a cheap netgear modem and a cheap netgear router and never looked back ,
    no need to forward or anything but you may need to assign a static ip .....open nat ever since....most gateways seem to have a hard time with upnp and nat for some reason....plus your "bridge mode" can cause a double nat methinks......

    Also Call Of Duty requires another port to be opened, port 3075 (UDP). If you have an open NAT but moderate/strict in COD, opening this port should fix it.

    Sure it's a xfinity technicolor tc8305c gateway.

    I've got the ports forwarded on my Xbox, however it seems I can't port forward the same ports for his Xbox one.

    Currently my Xbox one has all the ports forwarded and I have an open NAT. He has none with a strict NAT.

    I have just tried disabling my port forwarding. I reset my router to default settings, and then ONLY enabled UPnP following the instructions that were given. This produced a strict nat, so I disabled UPnP and tried only opening port 3074. This produced
    a strict nat. I then tried opening all ports recommended (Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) ) and produced a strict nat.

    Prior to this, we had tried opening the ports and having UPnP enabled simultaneously (producing a strict nat). While researching the issue, we came across the suggestion of using our laptop as a pseudo router, and set it up. While connected (wired) through
    the laptop we finally saw an open nat, but we still unable to connect to friends with open nats. Our modem/router was bridged through the laptop successfully for about 24 hours saying open nat. Then today I was playing black ops and noticed at the bottom of
    the screen it said we were running a strict nat. - so back to square one.

    We do not connect wirelessly, so I'm not sure if the router security change applies here. (but I don't know.)

    NAT Issues in Xbone One and/or CoD Ghosts - My solution

    Try adding port # 3075 under TCP & UDP to your port forwarding list. I have seen more than once where this has fixed the open NATs when testing connections, but strict or moderate NAT in game for COD: Ghosts.
