    My Xbox One keeps telling me it is my Internet but I can see my friends online but that is about it

    Hey there EatenThunder,

    Sorry to hear about the connection problem you're seeing. Are you in the Xbox One Insider Program and using the new dashboard currently? Have you tried to use another profile on the console to see if that helps? If you're not able to sign into your own profile,
    you might want to try to do a
    Factory Reset     on the console while keeping your Games and Apps, if signing into another account doesn't work either.

    Latest I have been told is that the access point could have a badly configured mtu setting. Of course the Tech I was talking to couldn't access the settings so I am now waiting on someone else to look at it . Live in an apartment with free wifi so I can
    not access it directly.

    Please try logging out of your profile and then log back in. See if that resolves the issue.

    If not please log out of all profiles and remove your profile from the console. Once that is done perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord
    from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational reload your profile and try logging in.

    Same issue here. Logged out and logged back in; performed the cold boot and waited 5 minutes; same issue. By extension, the TV will go blank for no apparent reason every other boot. Not sure what that's about.

    this is why I want to go to ps4, xbox has way too many issues and they blame it on our network

    I am getting the same error message and have been unable to find a solution. I have tried all of the simple things I can think of, and have been on the phone with the isp many times trying to run down the cause.
