Can't finish multiplayer connection test?

Hey everyone, so a couple days I noticed my Netflix would not play and I couldn't buy movies from the store but my YouTube app worked so I thought maybe it was just a glitch. But it still is not working so I tried calling xbox support and they ran me
through the unplug everything and plug it back in routine, still didn't work. Then they had me test the multiplayer connection and that comes up as "Can't finish multiplayer connection test " in which the support tech told me it sounds like a problem with
your internet. Long story short the internet isn't the problem, stone have any suggestions?

Oh i have problem like you dude but i use port forward change NAT from Strict to Open

but i can't play Multiplayer on Ghost and BF4

when i test multiplayer connection it have error massage " can't finish multiplayer test "

its been working the last two days so as long as that keeps up no issues. What happens is when i turn it to manual and change dns servers it says the dns isnt resolving xbox server names

 

Have you tried the good old routine of hard resetting your Xbox?

 

Like Boozy said, try hard reset first

Have you double checked with your broadband provider ( I know you said it ok ) to see if everything ok?

Have you reset your router/modem?

Are you wired or wireless? If wireless, if possible can you try a cable to see if that works

 

Sorry guys it took me so long to get back to you, I did try a hard reset that did not work. I also called my internet provider and they said my internet signal is fine no problems. How do you reset your router/modem?

 

Just unplug it and leave it off a few mins

 

Or try going into Settings then disc & Blu-ray then Blu-ray , Persistent Storage and clear persistent storage after that go to Console Info & Updates , Reset Console then Reset and keep my games & apps

 

Mr. Boozy I'm going to try your last suggestion, I already tried resetting the router.

 

Mr.boozy tried clearing out the persistent storage and resetting the console. No luck. When I test the multiplayer connection it is giving me a 0x0000000000000 code ?

 

Are you trying to play online under the tag you are posting on as it's showing as a silver account? I know you could be sharing Xbox live but it's just a thought

 

Mr. Boozy I'm not sure I understand, am i using two usernames?

 

Do you play online using the gamertag you are posting from? If so then it's showing as a silver account

 

The tag I'm using is the same on I use to get on my xbox one, although I just use my xbox one for Netflix and movies and such if that makes a difference.

 

Ah got you I don't know why they would get you to try multiplayer test I think you should get back on to support and speak to someone different and hopefully they are more helpful but I'm afraid I'm out of ideas
