Can't find Xbox Accessories app on the app store

Same here. Apparently there is supposed to be an "Xbox Accessories" app that installs automatically with the drivers, to allow firmware updates, which might resolve these issues. But the app isn't installing, and I can't find it in the app store.

To get the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10, go to the Windows Store and search for Xbox Accessories.

The Xbox Accessories app is not available on previous versions of Windows.

If you can't find the app on Windows Store, you can clear and reset Windows Store cache then search for the app again.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key+ R on your keyboard.

2. Type wsreset, and then hit Enter.

I already said it, I can't find the Accessories App in Windows 10 Store. Did you manage to find it? Or is there some sort of a semi-legal .exe download?

If you are using the Xbox One console and the software up to date then this app will already be installed your console. Please check in the apps section of My Games & Apps hopefully you should notice it there.

I managed to fix this just recently

It appears to be an issue with the way the windows apps interact and update.

I had recently installed the xbox accessories app from the microsoft store but it never told me it needed a firmware update when connecting the controller.

What fixed it was using the store to update the MS store app, then deleting and reinstalling the xbox accessories app.

After that when I connected the accessories app told me of an update and the screen with the 3 dots looked different generally, like I had a more recent version of the accessories app, although I can't be certain.

What hasn't been "fixed" though is the installing of the HID keyboard device with an inactive or not working driver.

I've ignored that now as it doesn't seem to be doing any harm but I do wonder why that's appearing at all
