Can't find the important difference between two encoded files

I have two mp4/avc/aac files served to the xbox through the media server in a TP-link router with a USB hard drive attached. One plays and one says it's unsupported. What is the critical difference between these two files?

This is the MediaInfo dump of the file that will play.

Addicted to this DEMO...but why the similar camo patterns

Other than names over heads I honestly can't tell the difference between the two.

Media player preview won't show all my video files! Help!

Download mediainfo on the PC, and check the codecs used in the files that don't show up.

AVI, MP4 and MKV are simply containers, that can contain video/audio streams encoded using various codecs. If the Xbox One can't play the codec, it probably won't display the video file.

That may not be the answer, but it might narrow down any compatibility problems between the player and the actual files.

Just re-encode your files on your computer to be supported...If you're just using it on the Xbox, a wmv container profile would work just fine. The xbox hates things, even if they say they're supported.

This I guess is the critical difference:

    1st Video Audio part:
Channel(s) :2 channels

    Channel(s)_Original :1 channel

    Channel positions :Front: C
2nd video audio part:
Channel(s) :2 channels

    Channel(s)_Original :6 channels

    Channel positions :Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE
I don't know how you encoded the videos, but the Xbox 360 only supports MPEG4 and AAC 2 channel stereo. 6 Channel AAC surround is not supported.

    DTS vs Dolby Digital

I agree that DTS has a higher bitrate in terms of DVDs and Blu Rays. But i can't for the life of me find any info on it when it comes to games or streaming content on the X1 lol because of the way that it encodes/decodes audio information.

I mean, there HAS to be a difference in some way or another since you have the option between the two. DD has always been a standard on consoles and most games were developed in DD 5.1.

Do you really think, that an Optical 7.1 Input, is really being 7.1 on a Stereo Headset.. (7.1 on 2channels)
I don't have to think. I already know
the MixAmp takes a 7.1 signal, decodes it into 8 discrete channels, then runs it through a DSP based on Dolby Headphone techology to provide a two channel positional audio output for use with headphones.

Encode and process are two different terms when discussing audio. If you don't feel like using proper terms, find somewhere else to misinform people?
