cant find serial number (one Controller)

My Controller is broken( rs goes up) and there isnt a serial number where it should be. where else could i find it? do i have other options?

The serial number looks like it has been removed, and the controller may have been taken apart. If that is the case, then the warranty is void and can no longer be repaired.

Hi Patrick,

As the others stated and are correct. There is no way to see the serial number. If the controller is over 90 days the warranty is gone. You would be best in this situation to replace the controller. They do not repair out of warranty controllers, especially
ones taken apart.

From where did you purchase this controller? Is this an original controller? As described here, serial number is indeed in the battery compartment -> https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/controllers/controller-warranty

So there is no 12 digit serial number like on the Xbox One and Kinect? Maybe you're right though as it doesn't say how to find the number for a controller at the following link, so maybe it's not able to be registered:

Unfortunately, because i bought the elite controller on its own, i cant seem to register it. When asking where to find the serial number there is no option for the xbox elite series 1. Other people have said unless you bought the package (Which i didn't)
there the serial number option doesn't register the serial number of the controller. the only way to register a xbox elite controller is to by the paddle package and then the serial number is accepted. Personally i don't want to have to buy something just
to be able to see if a warranty is still active.
