Cant find match in multiplayer on ghosts.....just says searching for game...tried everything ...

I have tried everything....and still wont find a match any ideas??

connected to xbox live but cant find any matches on black ops 2

i am connected to xbox live but cant find any matches online. i go to multiplayer on black ops 2, select find match but no player pops up. it says people are online but it just says searching for players. i wait and wait but no players comes up.

 

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING OR HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE ?

OKAY ITS REGARDING MW3 , MULTIPLAYER, AND MY DLC .SO WHEN I TRY TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER (HARDCORE) WITH IT SEARCHING FOR DLC CONTENT I CANNOT JOIN ANY HARDCORE MATCH....WELL I JUST TRIED IT NOW I CANT JOIN ANY PERIOD.but while im at the find match screen i hgit
the back button and disable the searching for DLC content i go to hardcore and join right in on a match ....i mean WTF?ive deleted my profile and reinstalled,ive deleted my DLC and reinstalled WHAT NEXT???? PLZ HELP !I HOPE SOMEONE HAS AN ANSWER ..

you should check your net connection and open all ports in order to facilitate matchmaking in multiplayer mode. Matchmaking is equally as important to the connection quality of your game as home networking and is impacted by all of the following:

Region – If you live in a remote region, it will be more difficult to find hosted games that match your profile. The best option for those in extremely remote regions is to play during local peak hours in playlists with high player counts.

Time of day – Since matchmaking works to find the game with the best connection quality, it will have a much easier time finding high quality connections when there are more players online in your area. As a general rule, peak usage occurs during the
late afternoon and evening hours in each time zone.

DLC ownership – DLC map packs divide matchmaking pools into groups of players who have DLC and players who don’t have DLC. The more map packs that are released, the more matchmaking pools there are.

Hello and thanks for the response... my nat type is set to open and i have tried playing at all times of day. The only thing i can play online is squads. I dont live in a remote region and my internet connection is excellent although it is a wi fi connection...would
this be the problem??

 

Actually yes. Playing a game using a wireless connection is the primary cause of lag and connectivity issues. A wired connection will maintain the bandwidth connection that is required for online gaming. Because the console comes with integrated Wi-Fi, it
is easy for users to use that connection to play games. Make sure that you configure your console’s settings to use the wired Ethernet network instead of the integrated Wi-Fi network.

 

Ya its set up with the ethernet setting. I went and bought an ethernet cable and hooked my 360 up to that and connected to a wired network. Connects to xbox live great but still says 50 potential games found....testing matches...and gets up to 24 good
games found but still says "we need to find 7 more players." Sorry to keep bothering you with it but dont understand why it wont work.

 

When it is showing "Waiting for more players", that means you are connected to get game, and you're the host of the lobby at that point in time until it finds other players to connect with you. Last time I was on Ghosts there was only 100,000 people playing
so finding a game in any game mode if going to take a little while. So be patient, and the games will come as it looks like the connection issue is resolved. You're now facing the matchmaking doom, meaning with so few players playing, it'll take longer to
find a game.
