Cant find an IP address

hello, im super confused and need some help. my xbox wont connect to wifi, it tells me it cant find an IP address but it clearly shows an IP address. all my other devices connect just fine with no problems. just curious if there is any way to fix that on my xbox or do i have to get ahold of the isp. i feel like its xbox issue.

Who assigns the IP to your devices is your network equipment.

Restart your internet device for a few minutes, clean your console's MAC, restart when prompted, and try again.

To clean the MAC follow this path
Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

Yes directly into the Xbox via wired connection. No other switches or routers involved.

Thanks for all of the information. If using that Multiplayer Connection Error Solution guide didn't resolve the issue. Your Modem/Router may need specific settings changed. You'll want to reach out to your ISP for more information on your device and possible
steps to resolve the issue.

You cannot hook up straight into the antenna,as it's just a bridge for the connection.'

You can try and hook straight to the antenna and bypass the router but my guess is your ISP has you on a private ip address instead of a public one...
