Can't figure out how to play with Xbox friends on PC in the game Ark.

Hey! I have a problem with joining my friend's world in Ark Survival. I play on PC, and have bought the game through Microsoft Store and play through that on my Windows 10 PC. (I also have
it through Epic Games, but dont use it). My friend plays on Xbox and she has a Gold Live Account Membership, and i don't because im a PC player.. (do I need it to play with her, even though Im on PC?)When I try to find her world she created in "join ark" It
says there are no sessions. Same when she tries to find my worlds. When my friend invites me through Xbox and I accept the invite, it loads for a bit then tells me I can not join. Doesn't matter if it is non-dedicated, or a private server we have tried all
of them. Firewall does not block Ark, either...Does anyone know what you need to do for a PC player to join your Xbox friend's world? what exactly are the steps? thanks

so, if I am friends with someone on the xbox app on my computer, and I have game pass through xbox, can I cross platform with them as I am able to do in ARK? I have tried everything I can think of, and we cannot seem to figure out it...

In Conan? No, you can't...Conan isn't cross-platform as mentioned above. If you are on PC and your friend is on an Xbox, then you can't play together...if you want to play with your friend, you need to use your Xbox if they are using one

I'm afraid playing Ark with your friends won't be possible unless you access the game from the Xbox App on a Windows PC or through an Xbox console.

there will be some in the game itself somewhere (sorry I can't be more specific as I don't play Ark) Also check the Xbox Accessories app, or whatever it's called on PC.

I just wanted to add that this has been an ongoing issue for years. I used to play ark about 4 years back on a private server with a few buds, but the difference was that we all had Xbox consuls at the time (standard Xbox 1 then). Then sometime into our play-through, my consul gave me the "failed to join." so I switched to a new PC; since the game was cross-play at that time, it fixed the issue.

Moving ahead to last year, I was getting back into the game but had a PC-breaking bug with Ark. The game (for some reason I cannot figure out to this day) broke my PC WI-FI. To put it simply, I could not browse the internet (with Chrome and Microsoft edge,) with ark installed. However, ark and games were still connected to their respective servers to allow me to play games, but my network broke (yes, I was also using an antivirus at the time, so my laptop was clean of malware!!). Also, I should add that I have a VPN installed but don't have it on when gaming.

Moving ahead to 3 months ago to today, I still cannot play ark even though I have it installed through an Xbox game pass. My bud is on (again) Series X, and I'm on PC to this date, and the game still gives me the "failed to join" error.

So basically, TL: DR, I'm pretty sure it's Ark's issue and not Microsoft/Xbox that has been tormenting the game for years.
