cant download xbox profile to new xbox one x

to be sure can you also go to and
http://account.microsoft.com and verify that all information is correct and updated.

After that also please check
http://account.microsoft.com/services and
http://account.xbox.com/

to verify if they are working correctly.

If all is working fine on those pages, then please try the following

first try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-one/console/power-cycle-console

After that run a detailed Network test on the console to see if it shows any issues.

If there are no issues then please try Downloading your profile again.

It can happen with the presence of corrupt cached data. Try to hold down the power button for 10 secs and try to download your account.

It seems like others have said that its effecting us who cant login into to their xbox 360 profile. I have an xbox one x and downloaded the free toy story game this month and it throws an error every time.

Thanks for coming to the forums. You are able to move the external drive to the new console with no issues. As they are both Xbox one gen consoles. You will have to redownload your profile on the new console, but everything else will be accessible once you
download the profile. Here is a
guide for setting up a Xbox one X console.
