Can't download xbox live free games

I recently got xbox live gold, but whenever I try to download Forza Horizon on the xbox one it fails to do so.

On the store page, I would go to the "See price" option, and it would bring that up, but when I hit "Continue it either goes black, then goes straight back to the store without getting the game, or it would show the message "Your account is unable to make this
type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox(Which is what I am doing)." for a few seconds, amount varies, then it takes me back to the store.

If you have a solution, I would be grateful for your help.

Can't purchase/dopwnload free xbox 360 games with gold game

According to the page my Xbox Live Status is
Normal. But I still can't purchase/download the FREE game.

The solution is quite simple

You have only two

Buy the content on an adult account with gold not home gold or use an xbox 360

That error is because you are a child account

My son has a paid xbox live gold subscription and I am able to download the free xb1 games under it including the rated M ones because I do not have content restrictions set.

Are you saying there is some special restriction that you can't download the free xbox 360 games under a child xbox live gold account?

I can't sign in to Xbox Live after I changed my Gamertag. When I tried to download the profile I got this error code 80151006. My free bundle Xbox game is also downloaded in that account. Please help. THanks...

I can't download any of those games either, I'm frequently experiencing disconnects from xbox live and the "cannot connect to xbox live" while trying to play with my friends. this all started after the latest update and trying to download the free for gold
games when they first appeared on free for gold. This is infuriating, i wish they would come out with a statement instead of just posting the usual crap about how we need to fix the problem on our end.
