Can't download Xbox Live content

I've been trying for the last day or so to download both Remember Me and Mafia II from Live and keep getting a 'Can't ****' message. It was fine a week ago when I downloaded ACIV, but now it throws me out every time and downloads at a rediculusly slow speed.

I've been reading around the forum, so before I get the same pat answers:

I'm in the UK and my location has been set as UK since I joined Live years ago (because I understand about regional restrictions etc).

I ran speedtest.net (ping: 15ms; doanload 17.5 Mbps; upload: 1.92Mbps)

I've cleared my cache and deleted incomplete downloads

I've rest my network connect to factory settings.

My wifi runs fine, and no other device in the household has a problem downloading anything.

Live status suggests there is no problem with content download, but I've seen loads of similar messages in the last 24 hours, and downdetector had registered nearly a thousand reports of Live being down from 10pm last night.

What is going on? I've never had any problem before, but this is really frustrating as I've like to be able to play these games sometime fairly soon.

You can't transfer content from one Xbox LIVE account to another. Content licenses are stored in the Xbox 360 console rather than in the Xbox LIVE account.

To enable someone else's Xbox LIVE account to use your content licenses, you must download your Xbox LIVE profile and then transfer your content licenses to that person's Xbox 360 console.

Who is your isp sky or virgin

 

I was able to download games this morning

If you have sky or virgin you need to contact them

If you have the bt hub you meed to be upgradedto a new router modem as bt hubs have known issues with gaming

 

Update:

My ISP is virgin - checked with them, no system issues.

Went to purchase history - had a system update and got to 45% before it fell over. Now back ti 4-5% before the download drops.

Also downloaded ACIV Freedom Cry DLC but using season pass and from within the game itself. No problems at all! So this clearly has nothing to do with my network set up or ISP. This is specifically a Live marketplace issue.

So, anyone from MS XBL fancy fixing their servers?

 

Check virgin forums 1000s of users have issues with all gaming services

You dont check their tech support if they have issues if you dont tell them what your issue is

You actually have to tell them i have probelsm with large downloads with console games then they will fix the issue wiyhim mins

 

Dlc is small downloads and are rar. Over a gig

Why dont you google virgin issues with large downloads and see how many thousands of users actually have real issues with virgin

You actually have to ask virgin to help you

Its an issue with their hardware and software not being configured for gaming

Virgin has a long history of gateway issues specifically with games either you use a work around or tell them directly that you are having issues with gaming then they fix it

You cant be serious saying that thousands reporting issues last month till now is wrong and virgin arent sending out techs to repair the issues

I checked Vurgin and no problems in service. There are also a lot of people i these forums raising same issue - yiur logic is flawed about volume of complaints.

 

Tell them exactly what your issue is and they will fix it

Actually it aint flawed this has been going on aince virgin switched to superhub and has been going on for months and years

You actually have to tell them that you are trying to download large files on forums and offical support at the virgin forums isnt lying alot of people are having problems apecifically with gaming xbox one 360 ps3 wii and ps4

You actually have to have them check your settings for gaming settings not internet settings but gaming settings as internet sertings arent the same as most gaming service if you look at the magnitude on their servers errors and amount of people having issues
with their superhub its usually fixed with a server adjustment

Why dont you actually ask them and point out the many threads that say otherwise

This has been going on for years you arent going to get a solution unless you tell them whats going on

And actual recommendation from virgin to upgrade to 60mbs thats telling you that you are teloing them about your internet not your actual issue which is gaming

 

Fibre is new and isnt setup for gaming specifically

Thats why firewalls and certains things have to be adjusted

When 1000s have the issues for years dont you think thrre is an issue that you actually have to raise with them?

 

Eachc one of thise threads have multiple people posting in thr same thread reporting the same issue and those are just the single thewads look at the total thread count of that forums and you say its not a large acale issue
