Can't download XBL Profile

So, last night around 7:30 PM EST, I changed my gamertag. Soon after, I proceeded to put I CoD: BO2. As the game was loading up, I was disconnected from Live. When I went to sign back into Live, it wouldn't connect. Then, it prompted me with an error message
saying that I needed to re-download my profile. So, I deleted it, and tried to re-download it. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? It stopped downloading 1/5 of the way done and gave me the erroer message, ""Sorry, Xbox Live profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try
again later." there was a code below it and it was, "80151006" Now, I've looked that error code up and it supposedly means that my Microsoft account is not affiliated with an XBL profile. Which is stupid because it is affiliated with one. i've tried uninstalling
and re-installing system updates, deleted the cache on my USB AND HDD 3 times each. I've unplugged everything for like 20 minutes and then plugged it all back in with no result. I have a friend that has had that happen to him several times on other accounts.
I've been with Microsoft since '05 and I love them and Xbox to death, But this is extremely disappointing, annoying, and aggravating all at the same time SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!

Yeah this is a joke, I can't download my profile even though my connection is fine and apparently everything is okay with XBL.

 

Can connect to Xbox LIVE, but cannot sign in

I'm having the same issues here. It's not an issue of connecting to XBL, it's an issue signing into it. I just tried to re-download my profile and I was prompted with the '800704DC' error message saying 'Sorry, XBL profiles can't be downloaded right now.
Try again later.'

This issue should be resolved you might need to clear the system cache and delete the old profile (if you haven't done it) then you should be able to download your profile.

If you're having this issue, you might want to try these steps:

1. Go to http://account.live.com and then to Security Info, you might want to add an alternate email or an alternate phone number and then have these verified if you haven't yet

2. On the same site, check if your Two Step Verification is disabled. It needs to be off. If it's on (it usually says: "Turn Off Two Step" if it's on), then you'll need to get the APP PASSWORD for your account, which shouldn't be confused with the Authenticator
App nor the Recovery code

3. Go back to your console and do the following

a. Clear your system cache 3 consecutive times

b. Delete or better yet, move your profile onto a USB flash drive so you've back up, just in case

c. Restart your console and download your profile back from Xbox Live

4. If these steps do not work, try putting in your USB with the profile in it and see if you'll be able to sign in

5. If not, contact support for this. Chances are, they might need to escalate your case to the Advocacy Team
